How to find the distance between star and earth:- mathmasters.in

There are 2 method of measure the distance  in the world.

1. Direct method

2. Indirect method

1. :-direct method-  there is aa direct measurement by a specific scale.it is a finite distance.it can be measure easily.

2. Indirect method- in this method the Pythagoras and parallax method is used to measure.

             Stellar parallax method

              (Parallax method)

Astronomers estimate the distance of star in space by using a method called stellar parallax, or trigonometric parallaxSimply put, they measure a star's apparent movement against the background of more distant stars as Earth revolves around the sun

              Parallax method

Definition:-  Parallax is a displacement or difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight, and is measured by the angle or semi-angle of inclination between those two lines.

:Astronomers estimate the distance of nearby objects in space by using a method called stellar parallax, or trigonometric parallax.

》how can find de distance                        between earth and stars? Or click here

ans 》Parallex method is used to measure distance between the earth and star.

      Distance from sun to earth=1AU(austronic unit)

              1AU=1.5×(10)¹¹m

               1AU=3×(10)¹¹m

                Angle (L)=arc/radius

                  Let radius=d

                     d=arc/angle

Let angle Q1 and Q2
              Total angle=Q1+Q2
                  d=2AU/(Q1+Q2) in radian
     d=3x(10)¹¹/(Q1+Q2)×1/60×1/60×π/180
              Let Q1=10sec,Q2=20sec
then        d=144×(10)14=14.4×(10)¹⁵
            d=2 light year(approx.)..answer
                                      (°:9.4×(10)¹⁵=1ligh year)
remember:60sec=1min,60min=1°,180°=pie
remember:1mm=1/10 vernier clipers,1vc=screw gause
