Details of subtopics:-

1. Surface area and volume of Cube.

2. Surface area and volume of Cuboid  .

3. Surface area and volume of Cylinder .

Educational objectives:-

1. Student will  understand the concept of measurement of surface area and volume of solid and be able to implement these concept in their daily life.

2. Student will be able to find the difference between curved surface area and total surface area.

Material:-Chalk, Duster, Board, Book, Classroom, Model of cube, cuboid and cylinder etc.

Engage:- To make the classroom environment suitable and to warm up students teacher will show models of Cube, Cuboid and Cylinder and put  some question related to models like.

1. What is a square? 

2. How many squares are present in a cube?

3. What is a rectangle?

 4. How many Rectangles are present in a Cuboid ?

5. What is a circle?

6. How many Circles are present in a cylinder? 

Announcement of topic:-After warm up teacher will announce the name of topic.

Explanation:-Teacher will explain the topic by using laboratory method as well as inductive method. Teacher will also explain topic using real life examples in the classroom .

Explore:-Students will explore their knowledge by doing some questions . •Teacher will give them some solids like eraser, cubical box etc of different lengths to find their surface area and volume.

Elaborate:-In this session the assignment sheet will be given as home work at the end of the topic and separate sheets which will include questions of logical thinking and Higher Order Thinking skills based questions will be given to the above average students.

Recapitulate:- Teacher will revise the important  points related to the chapter.

Evaluation:-

1. Teacher will  ask the students to try questions from the  exercise.

2. The oral test or written test will be conducted to evaluate the student’s knowledge.
